MC Sparkling Shiraz 2005
We have most bases covered here in the Barossa - a wine style for almost any time of the day! A dilemma must have been contemplated early on however. Probably around the advent of Linkes famous smoky bacon - What do we drink with breakfast?

From the Cool Adelaide Hills

Woodside Sauvignon Blanc 2009
The Adelaide Hills, with its high altitude and cool climate, is the natural home for Sauvignon Blanc in Australia, and when some mates up there offered us an outstanding parcel of fruit from the 2008 vintage, we just had to take it on.

Introducing 'The Playground'

The Playground 'Tiger's Wood' Barossa Valley Shiraz 2008
We are launching a new mail order/website only label called 'The Playground'. This will be the new home for all of the bits and pieces that we are playing with just for a bit of fun and experience. Weird varieties, new vineyards and just things that come by and take our fancy. By their nature they will be small runs of usually less than 2 barrels, or about 60 dozen, but will always have the quality that befits the Teusner brand and the value will be extraordinary. We can bypass the traditional supply chain due to the very low volumes and keep the wines at extremely good prices.

'Salsa' Barossa Valley Rose 2009
Grenache and Mataro were the big winners of the 2009 vintage in the Barossa and as always these two varieties make up the lion’s share of the salsa blend. Once again we are aiming for a more food friendly, savoury style of rose that finishes dry with plenty of spice, mid-palate creaminess and red fruit high tones to keep you happy over the warmer months......and the cooler ones too!

'Avatar' Grenache Mataro Shiraz 2008
We fondly refer to Avatar as Joshua's more mature sibling. Taken loosely, avatar means transformation.

This wine is a similar blend to Joshua, but spends 16 to 18 months maturing in neutral old hogsheads. This, along with the slightly different blend ratio, provides us with a wine of more earthy, savoury complexity.

'Joshua' Grenache Mataro Shiraz 2009
Joshua is the first name of one of my earliest ancestors in the Barossa Valley. It is also the name of my youngest nephew, and son of my business partner, Michael page. This fusion of young and old means the name 'Joshua' perfectly characterizes this wine.

Joshua is made from Grenache, mataro and shiraz harvested from vineyards with up to 90 years of heritage in the Barossa Valley. It is an age old style, made famous in the Rhone valley.

'Albert' Shiraz 2008
This wine is the namesake of my grandfather Albert - a man that I greatly respect for his tireless hard work and commitment.

Albert is produced from two small vineyards of low yielding unirrigated vines aged between 45 and 90 years of age in Gommersal and Ebenezer, Barossa Valley.
