The “Keep Wardy Busy” Dozen $299, save 30%

Neil ‘Wardy’ Ward is the Senior Vice President of Picking and Packing Operations for the Righteous Society. This is the bloke that picks and packs every bottle of Teusner that then finds its way in the company of 5 or 11 others (depending on your preference for 6 packs of 12 packs) to the doorsteps of the nation, and ultimately into your glass, and thence into what is known in the trade as your ‘wine hole’. Wardy is passionate about his job and about Teusner Wines, and in the days before physical distancing he would give each bottle a little cuddle before he sent them off to their new home. (True!)
In ‘Wardy’s World’, simplicity is king. If you order a six pack of Riebke or Josh’, Wardy is a happy bloke. Grab the box, slap a stamp on it, and away we go. Mixed dozens demand a little more action, but if it’s a matter of 4 bottles of 3 wines, no big deal. All in a day’s work.
We thought we’d push Wardy into full octopus style picking mode, and offer up a mixed dozen of 12 different wines. In polite company, we are unable to convey word for word his response to this novel marketing concept, but rest assured after some initial ‘reservations’ he is up for the task.
With a tape gun in each hand and a plentiful supply of sanitiser, Neil ‘Wardy’ Ward is ready and awaiting your orders!
I’ve pulled together 12 different wines from across the Teusner family – everything from Grenache to Shiraz, from GSM’s to a Cab’. Think of it as the 12 days of Christmas – in April. And if you get ordering quickly via the website, or jump on the phone to the winery ASAP on (08) 8562 4147, we’re a good chance of getting this delivered to your front door before you head off on your Easter holiday to the spare room.
Normally priced at $436, I’m knocking this dozen down to $299 including free delivery saving you 30%, and a trip to the shops!
Each dozen contains a bottle of each of the following:
‘Big Jim’ Barossa Valley Shiraz 2018 (rrp$65)
The pick of the crop from the Wark Family vineyard at Stonewell. Big rooster on the label, big wine inside the bottle!
Albert Barossa Valley Shiraz 2017 ($65)
From the best of the old Barossa Shiraz plantings, and named after my grandfather. Elegant and beautifully balanced – a great Albert!
‘The G’ Grenache 2018 (rrp$32)
Plenty of people have discovered the G….and have never regretted it. I’ve sung the praises for Barossa Grenache since my first vintage in 2001…and this wine will show you why
Joshua Grenache Mataro Shiraz 2019 (rrp$35)
From a low yielding vintage, and one of the best Josh’s to date. Deep colour, amazing flavour
Avatar Grenache Mataro Shiraz 2016 (rrp$40)
Now with 4 years age in the bottle, and starting to hit its straps. 2016 was an exceptional Barossa vintage
The Playground ‘Dr. Frank’s Big Black One’ Durif 2014 (rrp$38)
“Big. Black. Long and Smooth” said wine reviewer Gary Walsh. As black as Darth Vadar’s heart, and not for the faint hearted. But if like ‘em big and bold, this one’s for you
The Riebke Barossa Valley Shiraz 2018 (rrp$27)
Big on flavour, big on value, easy on the pocket. Benchmark Barossa Valley Shiraz
The Bilmore Barossa Valley Shiraz 2018 (rrp$27)
Named after the legendary Roger Bilmore, and offering you another face of Barossa Shiraz
The Family Barossa Valley Shiraz 2018 (rrp$30)
From a single vineyard at Stonewell just to the west of the Valley floor and sitting atop a ridge of ironstone that marks some of the Barossa’s best Shirax country
The Gentleman Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 (rrp$27)
You folks should drink more Barossa Cabernet. Blending the robust flavours of Barossa Valley Cab’ with the more elegant character of Eden Valley Cab produces cracking Cabernet Sauvignon
The Independent Shiraz Mataro 2018 (rrp$27)
A decent injection of Mataro transforms Barossa Shiraz, adding a savour line of tannins whilst super sizing the spice aromas. Delicious
Salsa ‘Rosé’ 2019
Regardless of what’s going on around us, the sun will still come up tomorrow….and you’ll have a bottle of Salsa to enjoy whilst bathing in its soft glow. Savoury and dry – none of that sweet lolly pop stuff around here!
